Public consultation launched on the Valley Plan and Strategic Environmental Assessment of the Bükk–Sajó Net Zero Acceleration Valley
At the initiative of the Municipality of Miskolc, the Valley Plan related to the Bükk–Sajó Net Zero Acceleration Valley initiative is currently being developed. The aim of the Valley Plan is to create a regional green industrial development framework that builds on the existing industrial, energy, rail-logistics and knowledge base of Miskolc and the Sajó Valley, linking industrial transition with reduced environmental impact, the reuse of brownfield sites, the inclusion of greenfield development areas and the strengthening of higher value-added production.
As part of the planning process, the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the Valley Plan has also been launched. Its purpose is to identify the potential environmental impacts of the Valley Plan and to formulate recommendations for integrating environmental considerations. The Strategic Environmental Assessment is accompanied by a broad partnership process, providing the public with an opportunity to submit comments.
